Ella Eriksson (born 1997), originally from Hudiksvall in Hälsingland, is a composer based in Gothenburg, Sweden. She studied under Malin Bång and Esaias Järnegard at the Academy of Music and Drama in Gothenburg between 2022 and 2025.

Prior to the composition program in Gothenburg, she studied composition at a preparatory level in Visby for two years (2020–2022) with Per Mårtensson and Henrik Strindberg, under the direction of Mattias Svensson Sandell. Alongside her bachelor’s studies, she also participated in a master class with Rolf Martinsson in Båstad in the summer of 2024.

Throughout her education, she has collaborated with professional ensembles such as Norrbotten Neo, Gotlandsmusiken, Uppsala Kammarsolister, and Curious Chamber Players, as well as taken part in various projects with fellow students, working with both ensembles and soloists.

In her compositions, she is interested in exploring the possibilities of instruments in order to create distinctive timbral structures and sound worlds. She most often works with modal tonality, influenced by spectral components. She aims to compose music that sounds both slightly unconventional and beautiful, by shaping sound worlds that allow performers space for personal interpretation and individual expression.

In addition to composition, she is actively involved in the association Levande Musik as a concert producer and treasurer.

In 2025 Ella received the Stim scholarship together with 143 music creators and composers.
